- Keep the manuals of your heating/cooling systems and control devices in a safe place. Present these to your assessor upon arrival with any other relevant info, such as air pressure test reports etc.
- Ensure that no Tungsten bulbs (this includes halogens) are being used and where they are change to Compact Fluorescents before the EPC survey.
- Ensure a person who knows about the property being surveyed is present when the EPC assessor visits.
- Find out when the property was constructed.
- Finally make sure that access to all areas of the building is provided to the assessor.
